The 27 club is a mysterious cultural phenomenon that many artists, musicians, and actors have joined by dying at age 27. Come with us on the Death by Music Podcast rollercoaster as we explore the musicians’ stories, with a smattering of poop talk, personal anecdotes, and profanity to lighten the mood. The list so far: Robert Johnson, Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), Mia Zapata (The Gits), Jimi Hendrix, Pete Ham (Badfinger), Amy Winehouse, Brian Jones (the Rolling Stones) Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison (The Doors).

Minisodes & Extendos

We have almost 100 minisodes! Have you ever wanted to listen to over 24 consecutive hours of Alex, Jake, and Cassie talking about shit like Ozzy peeing on the Alamo, Garth Brooks’ rock alter ego, and more? Check out the playlist below.

The Beatles Rooftop Concert

Favorite Mini: The Beatles Rooftop Concert

Alex has deemed this one of her favorite minisodes of the show. It’s worth a listen. The Beatles Rooftop concert on 30 January 1969 was their last public performance ever. This concert was unannounced and a fascinating effort between members of the band and others.
The episode list on here speaks for itself. Some of our favorite episodes: The Beatles Scandalous Stories; Snoop Dogg & Martha Stewart’s Friendship; and Stories of Musicians’ Bodyguards.
